Blocking out the world One Design at a time: Inky Flowers

I block out the world one design at a time. Flowers, even those from a small little garden like mine, or even the supermarket flowers give me endless inspiration. Here’s a little gallery of my inky watercolor color blooms for bags and table cloths. It’s my way of keeping my summer garden blooming 12 months a year.

From Garden to Table. Abracadabra.

The bag is 27in x 15in and the exterior fabric is cotton linen canvas and the lining is 100% quilter’s cotton. (*The Lining will always be cotton but the pattern is subject to change due to supply issues). One external pocket, three interior slip pockets. Magnetic snap, leather handles, and, of course, a little rivet bling. I sew them. The tablecloths? Someone else sews them.

Watercolor Tote Bag

I painted these flowers with watercolor inks for their vibrant exuberance. In the depths of a New England winter, I love to carry this bag to remind me of the future spring and to carry memories of my summer garden 12 months a year.
