Friday the 13th

Someone new to the blog commented yesterday that she had a healthy tree obsession.  I think I might have an unhealthy one, particularly when driving early, early the morning of Friday the 13th in search of another “Fear, The Series” image.

Everything is exaggerated when you are afraid.  Silence seems so loud.  Several people talk in a room with the muted button on and trees look dead and menacing without their leaves.

Hurry up, spring.  Hurry the blip up, will ya?

When I press “send” on this post, I’m going right out to the kitchen and throw a little salt over my shoulder.

  1. You know what would be cool? If you borrowed a different car every once in a while and took these shots. Something with fuzzy dice dangling from the mirror, or a huge crack in the window.

    Ya know . . . ?

    ;-)

  2. Hope that salt helps. Those trees look mighty menacing… like they could jump out in front of you at any moment! On the other hand, maybe they are just dancing for joy at the prospect of spring.

  3. Reminiscent of tunnel vision, I think you captured fear perfectly in this shot. There is a need to escape and the trees offer neither comfort or a place to hide.

As for the tree obsession, can anyone blame us for wanting to capture images of amazing subjects?
