The Art of the Purple Carrot. Good for your eyes and home decor.

The Art of the Purple Carrot depends on moisture, heat, and pressure applied to thin strips of purple carrot onto watercolor paper. The result displays a range of purple hues that are bold and surprisingly alive with their own composition. I use them for wall decor as well as stationary. Here’s a video showing the process this morning. My ode to Mother Nature.

And, a deep bow from the waist on the simple pleasures of the process of creativity. A whole day has gone by and now? I’m going to spend the rest of my waking hours with Elena Ferrante’s new book, “The Lying Life of Adults“.

Ode to Joy.
