Christmas Lights

Driving  at night with a zoom lens is the way to pass by homes that go all out with Christmas decorations.

In fact, in the next few days, I’ll post some shots from homes that appear suddenly as I round a corner.  Homes that during the day have those dreadful blown up snowmen, santas, reindeers.  At night, one rounds the corner, and damnation, I’m going : “Whoa…!  Is that Santa?  Rudolph?”  Yes, it is.  I cursed them during the day and love them at night.

Ah.

  1. That’s because they had an extreme home makeover through the lens of your camera.
This looks like the crowning ornamental angel atop most trees-

You extruded an energetic, enigmatic emblem out of cheesy do dads made in China and dumped in the landfill January 3.

Hope you don’t get smothered under too much snow. You might have to get these images on foot. Take a thermos. And mittens.
    Be safe.

  2. Bonnie, I laughed at extreme makeover line. It’s the calm before the storm here this morning. Everything is being canceled. Including, sadly, my niece and her family’s trip up from DC! I’m madly wrapping all the gifts to try and send UPS this morning before the first flakes.

Amber: Speaking of the migraine challenge…didn’t you say when your camera came you were going to blow us out of the water with your entry?? So, here I am sitting in my little dory waiting for the explosion. Hint. Hint? More like a rocket.

  3. Ah finally a “Christmas” photo that isn’t the normal run of the mill been there done that, it’s an oh wows in my books!
PS I second your comment re Amber… hint hint… trying to get the woman on fanartreview.com but alas am still trying…

  4. Sanity, I imagine your Christmas season this year is going to have a wows factor, too. I wish you the best but I bet your feelings are complicated, too.

Timothy Leary, if anyone would be familiar with the “far out” regions, it is you! Thanks.
