Meet Babz. I needed to. I was meant to. A young woman finds her purpose amidst COVID19.

Meet Babz. Needed to. Meant to. Finding her purpose. This is how this 27-year-old young woman answered my question as to whether she had doubts about working in the health care field in Boston, Massachusetts during a pandemic.

“I think I Needed to. I was Meant to.”

Babz Jackson

I took a photo of Babz when she graduated from high school as we are related. Her Mom is my friend and my second cousin. I’ve included it in the photo gallery. There is a short video just below of her going to work on a weekday on an empty Boston city bus and another showing her socially distant birthday celebration in April 2020.

When I hung up from our call I had a strange feeling. I couldn’t recognize it at first. Then, I realized it was hope. This young woman has a gift and all I know is if I get this virus and they take me out on a gurney from my condo, I’m telling them to take me to where Babz Jackson is because I know I’ll be in competent and kind hands.

Meet Babz. I guarantee any reservoir of cynicism you have will be drained in 25 minutes. Click on the white arrow in lower-left corner to play audio interview.
