Protection

Sometimes all of us just need to be protected.

This older sister guarded the younger from a single “bee” that kept buzzing.

Some of us need 700 billion to swat imminent doom away.

That’s alot of b’s.

  1. I’m betting that the sisterly instinct to protect the little man, is PURE and without machinations. Just the selfless act of running interference for someone she loves who might be more defenseless.
Not counting on those motivations from the crafters of this other plan. No, not counting on that at all.

We really all need a Big Sister now more than ever.
God knows we’ve had more than enough Big Brother.

  2. Are you saying that you think the Posers (oops, I mean “Powers”) That Be have less than altruistic motivations for running our country into the ground? Wait.. Are you questioning authority? Why… that’s… un-American!

Oh.. Wait. It’s VERY American! Come to think of it, the whole point of us starting our own little show back in 1776 was about leveling the playing field and tossing out onerous rule and poor governing. I think the gents in the powdered wigs would be very sad if they could see where we’ve gotten our selves in the last couple hundred years.

  3. Turkish, As I write this I am on train going to Charlestown Navy Yard and quess what?? Yup, “The Constitution” is berthed there! Powdered wigs shall be lurking.

To be honest, I don’t think the powers are cynical as much as confused. Good decisions don’t usually flow from clutter.

  4. I love the colours and the sentiment and the protective gesture. I also understand about the bee thing. So small, they bring us honey but OUCH they can hurt.
As for 700 billion, my head stops after around 1 billion. I can’t imagine. Something is very wrong in this world at the moment and I doubt we’re getting the full story.

  5. Sf: hand stands are not their forte as of yet. But, tomorrow’s post will show that beingoff the ground is one’s true poetry.

Epi, they all say they love to be outdoors until a bee comes and then, it’s Get me outta here! I know how they feel everytime I turn on the TV.

  6. A friend told me to come and visit you. I am glad I did. It seems as if we share something more than just the Red Sox. That’s the only “B” I have on my cap.

  7. Welcome, angryafrican with the Red Sox cap, although we won’t talk about last night’s drubbing and I don’t mean the debate. I’ll go visiting this weekend myself to check you out. I, too, have heard your name!

Amber: They are just the antidote to all this world trouble. They simply don’t care one whit about this bailout plan.

  8. Say “bread and butter, bread and butter” over and over and over again.
That is the best protection from bee stings (you must have heard it first from Dode).
